The California State University, Dominguez Hills (CSUDH) Department of Theatre and Dance presents The Wolves by Sarah DeLappe, directed by Theatre faculty Kelly Herman. Performances are on the University Theatre stage, and the show will run Nov. 30 and Dec. 1, 2, 6, and 9 at 7 p.m., and Dec. 8 at 1 p.m.

Pulitzer Prize finalist The Wolves is the debut play of up-and-coming playwright Sarah DeLappe. Featuring an all-female cast (comprised of nine adolescents and one briefly-seen adult), The Wolves chronicles six Saturday mornings in the lives of a soccer team somewhere in suburban America as they prepare for their games. The girls discuss everything from genocide to menstrual cycles, from drugs to boys, to literature, and to each other. The girls, who at first seem indistinguishable as each is referred to by only her number and all are clad in the same jersey, quickly become identifiable and different. In the course of six short weeks, The Wolves deals with love, loss, and identity in ways that real teenagers do.

Tickets to The Wolves are $10 for students and $15 for General Admission. Tickets may be purchased at www.csudh.edu/theatre/tickets. Performances will take place in the University Theatre, located on the CSUDH campus, 1000 E. Victoria St. For driving directions and a map of campus, visit www.csudh.edu/directions. Parking permits are $10 and may be purchased at kiosks near each lot.

Please note: All in-person performances are presented on the condition of current public health orders and may be canceled.
