Presidential Distinguished Lecture Series Featuring Associate Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson
On Oct. 23, 2025, CSUDH welcomed U.S. Supreme Court Justice Ketanji Brown Jackson as a Presidential Distinguished Lecture Speaker. Her lecture, “Lessons from My Life in the Law,” was followed by a discussion with CSUDH President Thomas A. Parham, and a panel featuring CSUDH faculty.
President Parham established the Presidential Distinguished Lecture Series to showcase CSUDH as the place where important and consequential issues of the day become the topics of critical discourse. The series welcomes prominent scholars, artists, and leaders each year to share their thoughts and experiences with the Toro community. Speakers are chosen for their eloquence and the impact of their actions, both within their respective industries and throughout the nation and world. The series is open to CSUDH students, faculty, staff, and the general public.
