    About Unexpected Ties
    Unexpected Ties explores how selfless love can come from unexpected sources, highlighting how small acts of kindness can transform lives. The story reveals how even in moments of darkness, there are sparks of hope and compassion that make a lasting impact.
     
    Nehemyah and Nagi both work with Kids In The Spotlight (KITS) to bring their writing and acting skills to life. KITS is an LA County-based organization that helps foster youth heal and grow from trauma through the power of storytelling and filmmaking. In KITS’ flagship Script-to-Screen program, opportunity youth ages 18-24 write, cast, and star in their own short films, telling their stories their way. KITS envisions a pipeline of purpose for Black and Brown youth toward higher education, economic stability, and community leadership.
    Biographies
    Nagi Moore is an emerging talent known for his roles in Rite of Passage (2022), Imperfect Star (2023),  Whatever it Takes (2024) and  “Unexpected Ties” (2024).  A graduate of Cal State Dominguez Hills with a B.A. in Sociology, Nagi is passionate about storytelling and representation. Known for his collaborative energy, Nagi continues to grow with every project he joins. He aspires to build a lasting career as both an actor and a business owner, blending creativity with entrepreneurship to make a meaningful impact on and off screen.
     
    Nehemyah Gray is an emerging screenwriter and filmmaker known for her work on Rite of Passage (2022), Unconditional (2023), and Unexpected Ties (2024). A graduate of Cal State Dominguez Hills with a B.A. in Film, Nehemyah is passionate about telling authentic, impactful stories that reflect lived experiences and challenge the status quo. Myah uses her skills to uplift underrepresented voices and bring depth to the stories that matter most. Her film Unexpected Ties was accepted into the Pan African Film Festival, marking an exciting milestone in her journey toward becoming a professional screenwriter.
