We offer various pathways to become a special education teacher! Special Education programs offered include: · Credentials in Early Childhood, Mild/Moderate Support Needs, and Extensive Support Needs· Advanced Degrees/Credentials, such as M.A. in Special Education and Teacher Induction/Clear Credential· Added Authorization in Early Childhood Special Education will be hosting virtual information sessions via Zoom for those who are interested in learning about the different pathways to become a Special Education teacher! - Oct 8 – Nov 2140-Hour Domestic Violence Counselor TrainingNOTE: This event requires application- see below for details In recognition of Domestic Violence Awareness Month this October, the Center for Advocacy, Prevention & Empowerment (CAPE) is proud to offer a 40-Hour Domestic Violence Counselor Training, the first in California designed specifically for the higher education setting. This free program is open to CSUDH students, staff, and faculty who want to strengthen their ability to support individuals impacted by domestic and dating violence. Participants who complete the training will receive a Certificate of Completion that: Meets California’s 40-hour training standard to serve as a Domestic Violence Counselor when working or volunteering under an approved program, and Enhances professional development by helping faculty and staff recognize how domestic and dating violence can affect students’ academic performance, engagement, and overall well-being, and by supporting students exploring careers in advocacy, social services, public health, education, and student affairs.
