- DescriptionJoin us for an inspiring workshop featuring two trailblazing Latina attorneys whose immigrant stories and legal careers embody perseverance, resilience, and leadership in the world of litigation.
Laura Farber, an immigrant from Argentina and future President of the American Bar Association (2027), is a partner at Hahn & Hahn LLP. Her family fled authoritarianism in the 1960s, and her journey reflects the power of determination and advocacy in shaping a distinguished career in litigation.
Maria Villa, principal at Lathrop & Villa, brings over 30 years of experience handling complex appellate and litigation cases. A lifelong champion for immigrant rights, civil rights, and education, she has dedicated her career not only to legal excellence but also to mentoring students and expanding opportunities for underserved communities.
Together, they will share their personal journeys, discuss the challenges and triumphs of navigating the legal profession as immigrants and women of color, and offer insight into how perseverance and advocacy can transform lives and open doors in the legal world.
This event is open to students, aspiring attorneys, and community members interested in the intersections of immigration, resilience, and litigation law.
